Cheyenne startups receive seed funding for endeavors

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Two Cheyenne-based startups were awarded seed funding for their projects by IMPACT 307 – Southeast Wyoming Innovation Launchpad, or SEWYIL.
Developed in collaboration with the University of Wyoming and Laramie County Community College, the SEWYIL is a platform for Albany and Laramie County residents to pitch their business ideas with the opportunity to raise thousands of dollars in seed funding, according to a press release from IMPACT 307 – SEWYIL.
During a May 23 IMPACT 307 – SEWYIL Pitch Night at the Surbrugg-Prentice Auditorium, the local entrepreneurs presented their startup ideas to a panel of judges.
The event's four finalists were:
Earthside Birth & Wellness, MCCares and Edge Flyte were awarded as recipients of the seed funding.
The panel of judges for the event included Betsey Hale, CEO of Cheyenne LEADS; Rocky Case, Center Director of Manufacturing Works; and Dennis Ellis, Microsoft TechSpark Manager, Wyoming, Microsoft.
